DEMETRA Lean Way at GITEX GLOBAL 2025

GITEX GLOBAL 2025

The moment you step into the halls of GITEX, you are struck by its energy and scale.
Thousands of visitors, hundreds of conversations, and a blend of cultures, ideas, and technologies create an atmosphere where the world truly breathes innovation.
For us at DEMETRA Lean Way, it was a first-hand experience – a direct encounter with the global environment where people, technology, and the future of industry come together.

Our Purpose and Perspective

As the developers and providers of the digital platform Performance Storyboard®, we came to Dubai with a clear goal – to showcase Slovenian expertise and to understand where the world is focusing its attention in the field of efficiency and management systems.
Our stand within the SPIRIT Slovenia group of companies was small, yet the level of interest we received exceeded all expectations.

We quickly realized that companies – regardless of their size, country, or industry – are primarily focused on Maintenance Management, Performance Management, and KPI leadership.
The term KPI became a central topic in almost every conversation. Many organizations are seeking ways to establish, measure, and visualize their key performance indicators digitally.
That’s where our approach resonated the most – because Performance Storyboard® provides a structured way to link objectives with accountability, visualize progress, and manage performance across all levels of the organization.

Digitalization is no longer optional — it’s a necessity for effective management, decision-making, and continuous improvement.

Conversations That Matter

Every conversation at GITEX was an opportunity — not just for potential cooperation, but for a deeper understanding of how different organizations think about productivity, accountability, and improvement culture.
We were impressed by how highly global companies value structure, transparency, and consistency in managing performance.

For many visitors, the concept of Performance Management was something new — yet they immediately understood its power: true transformation begins when goals, data, and responsibility become part of daily work routines.

The Energy of Dubai

Beyond the business dynamics, we were captivated by the energy of Dubai itself.
People are incredibly friendly, open, and ready to help. Conversations are genuine, smiles are sincere, and despite the size of the city, you can feel warmth and respect everywhere you go.
This openness creates an environment where innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration gain a completely new dimension.

It’s truly astonishing to see what has been achieved in such a short time — a city that barely existed in its modern form just a few decades ago now stands as a symbol of vision, determination, and confidence.

What We Brought Home

We didn’t return from Dubai only with business cards — but also with a spark of Dubai’s energy, memories of inspiring people, and, of course, with Dubai chocolate and dates filled with almonds and covered in chocolate. 😊
But most importantly, we brought home new insights, experiences, and a sense that the world is ready to listen to smaller companies — as long as they bring real value and innovation.

Our participation proved that even a small Slovenian company with a global vision can make a strong impression when it knows what it stands for and why it exists.
We sincerely thank SPIRIT Slovenia and Mr. Martin Zadel for their excellent organization, support, and coordination of the Slovenian delegation.
Without their effort and commitment to promoting Slovenian companies on global stages, opportunities like this would be much harder to reach for smaller enterprises.

Looking Ahead

Participating in GITEX was not a final goal but rather a step forward in understanding the world we aim to collaborate with.
Each conversation and connection reminded us that digital transformation is not only about technology — it’s about people, culture, and persistence.

That’s why we’ll continue to follow the mindset that has guided us from the beginning — “do more with less” — and seek opportunities to help organizations worldwide better manage their performance, resources, and goals through innovative solutions from Slovenia.
